Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Test Syllabus for B A Hons Arabic
There will be two sections in the entrance test paper for BA (Hons.) Arabic:
Section A:
40 Marks
This section will consist of 40 Questions. The nature of the Questions will be based on the MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) method and each question will carry one mark. These questions will examine the general knowledge of candidates related to the Arabic language and literature, and national, Arab, and International affairs. There will be negative markings with a weightage of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Section B:
60 Marks This section will consist of 7 questions according to the following details:
- 1- Fill in the blanks with appropriate words derived from one root. 8 Marks
- 2- Correction of the mistakes in sentences. 8 Marks
- 3- Conjugation of the past, present, or imperative verbs. 8 Marks
- 4- Use of the given words, in sentences in Arabic. 8 Marks
- 5- Putting full Vowel Signs on the given paragraph 8 Marks
- 6- Translation of the given sentences into Arabic. 10 Marks
- 7- Answering the questions after reading the given passage. (comprehension) 10 Marks
